Meet Kathy
Kathy Postelle Rixon is a shamanic practitioner, researcher, and philosopher whose life's work sits at a genuinely rare intersection: where ancient wisdom traditions and cutting-edge science illuminate each other rather than compete.
She has trained with Norse shamans and Andean wisdom keepers, immersing herself in their sacred traditions with deep reverence and integrity. Initiated as a seventh-level Shaman in the Andean tradition and drawing upon Norse and Celtic practices, Kathy works from the English countryside, surrounded by ancient burial mounds and stone circles, in landscapes whose deep history infuses every aspect of her work.
At the University of Cambridge, Kathy researches the convergence of plasma physics, quantum entanglement, and conscious awareness, exploring the points where empirical inquiry and transcendent experience begin to describe the same territory. It is work that reframes science and spirituality not as opposing forces, but as complementary paths to understanding reality.
An accomplished professional pianist and Chair of The Philosophical Society: Oxford, Kathy brings the same depth, precision, and care to everything she does, whether guiding a seminar, leading a course, or sitting with a difficult philosophical question.
