Meet Kathy

Kathy Postelle Rixon is a shamanic practitioner, researcher and philosopher who works where ancient wisdom traditions and modern inquiry meet.

For more than forty years, she has practised and taught within Norse, Celtic and Andean shamanic traditions, training with Norse shamans and Andean wisdom keepers. She works from the English countryside, surrounded by ancient burial mounds and stone circles, in landscapes whose deep history informs her work.

A former Cambridge researcher in consciousness studies, Kathy has explored questions at the border of physics and consciousness, asking where empirical inquiry and lived experience may illuminate one another. As Chair of The Philosophical Society: Oxford, she leads discussion on the biggest questions of mind and meaning.

Today, Kathy brings these worlds together through workshops, writing, and talks that bring ancient wisdom and thoughtful inquiry into everyday life.

Online Shamanic Workshops and Courses

These workshops are invitations to explore shamanic practice from the inside: not just to learn about it, but to experience it. They are open to everyone, whatever your background or experience.
