Stuck for Years, Then One Shamanic Session Changed Everything
A composite drawn from work I've done many times over, told the way it actually happens
I want to tell you about a pattern I've seen often enough that I can describe it without naming any one person because it belongs to many people, not one. It usually starts with someone who has been stuck in the same place for years. Not dramatically stuck. Functionally stuck. They go to work, keep their relationships going, seem fine from the outside. And underneath that, the same wall has been there for a very long time, the same thing that never quite resolves no matter what else in life moves forward.
They've usually already tried a great deal. Therapy that helped with other things but never touched this particular wall. Books. Sometimes years of quietly living around the problem, rather than through it, because it stopped feeling like something that was going to change.

What they describe after a shamanic session
What people tell me after a shamanic session is rarely dramatic in the way films depict this kind of thing, although sometimes it is like that. It's usually quieter and stranger than that. A sense of something that had been braced finally letting go. A wall that doesn't feel present in the same way it did an hour before. Some people notice it immediately. Others tell me it wasn't until a few days later, doing something ordinary, that they realised the thing they'd been circling for years simply wasn't there anymore.
I want to be honest about what I can and can't claim here. I can't tell you a session guarantees this. Not every session unfolds this way, and I won't pretend the work is a formula. What I can tell you is that this experience, a long-held stuckness finally moving, is something I've witnessed often enough across different people and different problems that it isn't a fluke. It's one of the more consistent things this work seems able to do, when the conditions are right and the person is ready for it.
Why one shamanic session can sometimes do what years of other work hasn't
This isn't because shamanic work is stronger than the approaches someone has tried before. It's because it's aimed at a different layer. If the wall was never actually made of the story you'd been telling yourself about it, no amount of examining that story fully dissolves it.
Working directly with what's underneath the story can sometimes move something that years of working with the story alone couldn't reach. That doesn't make the earlier work wasted. It often means the earlier work was necessary groundwork for this piece to finally work.
If there's a wall in your own life that's been standing for longer than it should, it's worth a conversation to find out what's actually holding it up. You're welcome to reach out.
